Beatrice Crona

Beatrice Crona is an accomplished academic and researcher holding the position of Associate Professor at The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and Professor and Deputy Science Director at the Stockholm Resilience Centre since December 2018. With extensive experience, Beatrice serves as the Executive Director of the Global Economic Dynamics and the Biosphere program at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences since May 2013. Beatrice earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Systems Ecology with a focus on Marine Ecotoxicology from Stockholm University between 2002 and 2006, and also holds a Bachelor's degree in Joint Major Biology and Geology from Stockholm University, completed in 1998. Additionally, Beatrice pursued postdoctoral studies at Arizona State University and graduated with an Ontario Academic Diploma in Natural Sciences and Fine Arts from Glebe Collegiate High School in 1993.
