Technical Advisor For Livelihoods at The Salvation Army World Service Office

Maria Andrawis is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in humanitarian assistance and program management across diverse regions, including sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Currently serving as a Technical Advisor for Livelihoods at The Salvation Army World Service Office since January 2023, Maria manages sustainable agriculture and livelihoods projects. Concurrently, as a Disaster Assistance Response Team Member at Samaritan's Purse, Maria acts as the Country Director for Ethiopia and leads the Afghan Resettlement Program. Previously, Maria was a Field Director at Samaritan's Purse, where responsibilities included overseeing operations in active conflict zones, and held various roles focused on program implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. Educational credentials include a Master’s Degree in International Economics and Middle East Studies from Johns Hopkins SAIS and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and Affairs from The Johns Hopkins University.
