Sarah Merk-Benitez

Director Of Services Integration at The San Diego LGBT Community Center

Sarah Merk-Benitez has a diverse work experience in the non-profit and religious sectors. Sarah started their career at Journey Community Church, where they held various roles including High School Ministry Intern, High School Director, and College-age and Young Adult Pastor. After working there for several years, they transitioned to the San Diego LGBT Community Center, where they initially served as a Community Outreach Worker. Sarah then progressed to Coordinator of Volunteer Resources and ultimately became the Director of Services Integration.

Sarah Merk-Benitez attended San Diego State University from 2001 to 2006, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a major in Psychology. Additionally, they obtained a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification from Family Health Services in August 2018 and a Certified Covered California Enrollment Counselor certification in October 2014.
