Alejandro Tamayo is an accomplished visual journalist with extensive experience in video and photo production. Currently serving as Lead Visual Journalist at The San Diego Union-Tribune since August 2019, Alejandro is responsible for creating and editing audiovisual content across multiple platforms, while promoting the company's vision through collaborative video production. As the owner of Tamayo Media since 1993, Alejandro produces a wide range of projects, including corporate videos, weddings, and commercials. Previous roles include Documentarian at Charter Communications and Video Content Coordinator, Photojournalist, and Technical Director at The San Diego Union-Tribune. Alejandro also has a strong background in education, having taught multimedia production at the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts.
