Kristian Carreon

Kristian Carreon is a skilled photographer and photojournalist with extensive experience in various settings. Currently serving as a Contributing Photographer for The San Diego Union-Tribune since June 2020, Kristian specializes in freelance photojournalism covering diverse daily stories. Prior experience includes working as a Photographer for Hornblower Cruises and Events, focusing on wedding photography and customer service in a dynamic environment, and serving as a Cultural Resources Intern at the San Diego Museum of Man, where responsibilities involved cataloging ethnographic items and creating custom mounts. Kristian began a career in photography as a Senior Staff Photographer for The Daily Aztec, capturing and editing campus events from 2013 to 2017. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology from San Diego State University and time at The University of Georgia, complemented by a strong high school foundation from Olympian High School.
