Melanie Marshall

Melanie Marshall is an accomplished editor and writer with extensive experience in journalism and communications. Currently serving as the Specialty Publications Editor at The San Diego Union-Tribune since October 2021, Melanie orchestrates and oversees advertorial content and special publications, managing teams of freelance writers and photographers while ensuring production deadlines are met. Prior to this role, Melanie contributed as a Writer and Content Strategist for MDM Communications and Marketing, providing freelance writing, editing, and media consulting services. From July 2017 to May 2021, Melanie held the position of Marketing and Communications Specialist at the CSU Shiley Haynes Institute for Palliative Care, where strategic communications efforts significantly enhanced brand awareness.
