Barbara van der Steen

Barbara van der Steen is an accomplished executive coach, psychologist, and educator with extensive experience in leadership, change management, and organization development. As the founder and advisor at Wenders since 2016, Barbara works on complex transformation initiatives. In addition, Barbara serves as a PhD researcher at Universiteit voor Humanistiek and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, focusing on leadership and meaning in a VUCA environment. Barbara’s teaching roles at The School of Life highlight expertise in emotional intelligence and new leadership. Previous roles include founding InPlace BV, coaching for the Open Health Challenge, and consulting at Kessels & Smit and Berenschot. Barbara holds multiple degrees, including a Master's in Social Psychology and has engaged in postdoctoral studies in Philosophy in Business.
