Monica McCarthy is an accomplished Assistant Lecturer at ATU SU Galway, specializing in Fiction Film Practice since September 2024. With extensive experience in facilitating Learning & Development programs across the US and Mexico, Monica has worked as a Thinking Partner at Philosophy At Work and as a Business Faculty Member at The School of Life. An actor since 1998, Monica has appeared in various Broadway, television, film, and commercial projects, and holds a magna cum laude degree from Pepperdine University. Monica founded Cheshire Parlour to promote philosophical discussions and has also produced and hosted the critically acclaimed podcast and event series, The Happier Hour. Additionally, Monica has directed events for Impact Hub NYC and led a successful career change program with Escape the City. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Creative Writing and Literature from Harvard University and a B.A. from Pepperdine University in multiple disciplines.
