They also serve as a Team and Community Engagement Presenter at the Carnegie Science Center. Previously, Shelby was a Mass Media Fellow at AAAS, focusing on science journalism in public media. Shelby holds a PhD in Immunology and Microbial Pathogenesis from West Virginia University.
