Alan Gray

Alan Gray currently serves as the Head of National Cyber Security and Resilience for The Scottish Government and as the Head of the Scottish Cyber Coordination Centre, both positions held since January 2024. Prior to these roles, Alan held the position of Chief Information Security Officer at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office from May 2020 to January 2024, and served as Cyber Security Lead at ACCA from April 2017 to May 2020. Additional experience includes acting as Head of Information Security at the University of the West of England from October 2015 to March 2017 and as Technology Security Lead within the UK Civil Service from June 2012 to October 2015. Alan Gray holds a Master of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
