Althea Maxwell

Althea Maxwell is an experienced professional in policy management and education, currently serving as a Senior Policy Manager for the Early Learning & Childcare division of The Scottish Government since July 2021, focusing on sustainability in childcare sectors. Prior to this role, Althea worked in various capacities within the Scottish Government, including as a Senior Policy Manager for Lifelong Learning & Skills and as a Qualifications and Accreditation Manager at Social Security Scotland. Additional experience includes voluntary mentorship with MCR Pathways, alongside significant roles at the University of Glasgow, where Althea managed international recruitment and postgraduate programmes and contributed to gender equality initiatives in STEM. Althea holds an MSc in Human Resource Management from the University of Strathclyde and a BA in Psychology from the University of Glasgow.
