Eilidh MacDonald

Eilidh Macdonald serves as the Head of Marine Climate & Biodiversity for the Scottish Government since January 2020, focusing on climate change and biodiversity policy within the Marine Environment division. Previously, Eilidh led the Scottish Government's response to constitutional challenges related to Brexit and worked as a Senior Associate at Ofcom, managing policy projects. Eilidh has extensive experience in the nonprofit sector, having served as the Policy & Advocacy Manager for Hospice UK in Scotland and held various roles at Citizens Advice, including Senior Policy Researcher. Additionally, Eilidh has a strong background in parliamentary support and project management, with prior positions in the Scottish Parliament and the House of Commons. Eilidh's early career as an actor provided a foundation in public speaking and agile work approaches, complemented by academic qualifications, including a Master of Science in International & European Politics from The University of Edinburgh.
