Heather McClure

Heather McClure is currently the Deputy Legal Secretary to the Lord Advocate at The Scottish Government, a position held since April 2019, where responsibilities include oversight of private and family law as well as access to justice. Prior to this role, Heather served at the Office of the Advocate General from October 2016 to April 2019 in various capacities, including Senior Assistant Legal Secretary. Earlier experience includes a solicitor role at the Ministry of Justice UK and employment law solicitor at The City of Edinburgh Council. Educational achievements include a Master of Laws with distinction from the University of Glasgow and qualifications from Kaplan Law School for solicitors in England and Wales.
