Matthew Sinclair

Matthew Sinclair is an experienced IT leader currently serving as the Lead Technical Architect for The Scottish Government since October 2023. With a comprehensive background in technology management, Sinclair held various roles at the National Records of Scotland from January 2019 to October 2023, including Chief Technology Officer and Head of Business Architecture. Previous experience includes Technical Delivery Lead at BT Global Services, where leadership involved major systems delivery for the banking sector, as well as significant roles at Vodafone UK overseeing Business Support Systems and integrated IT platforms. Sinclair's extensive career began at Cable&Wireless Worldwide, where responsibilities spanned from systems administration to leading teams in integrated development. Sinclair holds a BEng degree in Computer Science from the University of York.
