Miren Elena Beratarbide is an accomplished academic and professional with extensive experience in information governance, assurance, and cybersecurity within healthcare. Currently serving as a Lecturer and Topic Lead at The University of Edinburgh since June 2021, Miren also holds multiple influential roles within the Scottish Government, including Head of Information Assurance and Risk and Programme Director for the Digital Health & Care Strategy. Miren's work focuses on providing expert guidance on information governance and security across health boards, developing national policies, and leading educational initiatives in healthcare data governance.
