Rhona McLaren

Rhona McLaren is a Civil Servant currently serving as a Business Manager in the Food and Drink Division of the Agriculture and Rural Economy Directorate at The Scottish Government since September 2021. McLaren previously held managerial roles at Social Security Scotland, where responsibilities included serving as a Decision Team Manager and Divisional Business Support Manager. Prior experience includes a decade at the University of St Andrews, where McLaren worked as a Graduate Researcher and Academic Tutor, focusing on sustainable development and public policy. Additional roles include Caseworker and Admin Assistant at The Scottish Parliament, Senior Caseworker for MP Stephen Gethins, and founding director positions with Three Burgh Community Development Trust and Wheelshare. McLaren holds an MSc in Sustainable Development from the University of St Andrews and a BSc (Hons) in Biology from the University of Dundee.
