Valan Raj

Valan Raj is a seasoned professional in the banking and finance sector, currently serving as Project Test Lead at The Scottish Government since June 2022. Previously, Valan held roles at HSBC as a Test Engineering Specialist, and at Royal Bank of Scotland Business as a Senior Test Analyst/Test Lead, contributing significantly to data and analytics remediation and credit risk application enhancement projects. Valan's career includes leadership positions at Sainsbury's Bank and Barclays UK, focusing on user acceptance testing and migration projects. Valan also has extensive experience from Lloyds Banking Group, managing various projects in the finance domain, and began a career in production support and software engineering at PSI Data Systems and Financial Software & Systems (P) Ltd. Valan holds a Bachelor's degree from St. Joseph's College of Engineering in Chennai, India.
