Cecilia Baress is an experienced journalist and educator currently serving as the Assistant News Editor at The Scranton Times-Tribune since November 2015. In this role, Cecilia manages a team of copy editors, curates daily wire story budgets, updates the website with relevant news, and engages with the audience on social media. Additionally, Cecilia is an Adjunct Faculty Member at the University of Scranton, contributing to the academic community since August 2022. Previous positions include Features Editor and Assistant City Editor at The Citizens' Voice, as well as a Copy Editor and Reporter at The Scranton Times-Tribune. Cecilia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Political Science from the University of Scranton, obtained in 2008.
