Benjamin Woodard is a seasoned journalist and editor with extensive experience in environmental reporting and news production. Currently serving as the Environment and Climate Editor at The Seattle Times since June 2015, Benjamin leads a team focused on the Pacific Northwest's environmental health and recently launched the community-funded Climate Lab. Previous roles include Morning Editor and News Producer at The Seattle Times, as well as a Reporter/Producer at DNAinfo.com Chicago, where coverage included politics and education. Early career experiences include internships at OLSON and the US EPA, freelance writing, and a reporting internship at Skagit Publishing, where an award-winning story prompted public engagement on important local issues. Benjamin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Journalism from Western Washington University.
