David Horsey is a seasoned political cartoonist and commentator with extensive experience in journalism and editorial work. Currently serving as a political cartoonist for The Seattle Times since May 2018, Horsey contributes three to four political cartoons weekly and occasionally creates animated features and full-page illustrations. As a syndicated cartoonist and columnist for Tribune Content Agency since 1999, work has appeared in over 200 newspapers, including prestigious outlets like the New York Times and the Washington Post. Previous roles include political commentator for the Los Angeles Times from 2012 to 2017, editorial cartoonist for Hearst newspapers between 2009 and 2011, and a long tenure at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, where key editorial contributions were made for three decades. Horsey began in journalism as a political reporter for the Daily Journal-American, covering city and state government. The educational background includes a BA in Communications from the University of Washington and an MA in International Relations from the University of Kent.
