Petra van Daele

Petra Van Daele is an accomplished communications professional currently serving as Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs at The Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC) since July 2023. Prior to this role, Petra spent nearly 17 years at CIBC, where responsibilities spanned various senior director positions, including External Communications, Investor Relations, and Corporate Communications, with a focus on enhancing investor engagement, implementing change management strategies, and driving employee engagement through effective communication. Earlier career experience includes roles at Worldsource Wealth Management and Rogers Media, where Petra developed marketing and communication strategies in collaboration with senior leadership. Petra holds an Honors degree in Political Science from Western University.
