Edgar McKinney Jr.

Edgar McKinney Jr. is an experienced project management professional currently serving as Project Manager II for Centerpoint Energy within the Project Management Office at The Select Group since June 2023. Prior to this role, Edgar was an Information Technology Project Management Consultant for Cy Fair ISD at iSphere from April 2022 to June 2023, and held positions including Robotics Project Manager at Cushman & Wakefield and Co-Owner of Simply Dependable LLC, specializing in cleaning services. Edgar’s background also includes project management roles at AVI-SPL and Mueller Environmental Designs, as well as a lengthy tenure at Huntington Ingalls Industries in various capacities, including Construction Manager. Educationally, Edgar holds a Project Management degree from Saint Leo University and an Associate of Arts in Business Administration from Strayer University, complemented by an apprenticeship in Electrical/Electronics Equipment Installation from the Newport News Apprentice School.
