Javier Reyes

Javier Reyes is an experienced culinary professional serving as Chef de Cuisine at Jaya in The Setai, Miami Beach since October 2013, where management of four teams is a daily responsibility. Previously, Javier held the position of Sous Chef, supervising a team of 15 to 20 cooks and contributing to menu development and product quality assurance. Prior experience includes serving as Chef de Partie, focusing on grill operations, and working at Johnson & Wales Snowden Dining Room as a Teaching Assistant, managing interns and ensuring food quality for large volumes of guests. Early experience includes roles as a line cook and prep cook at Little Palm Island Resort & Spa. Javier holds a Bachelor's degree in Food Service Management and an Associate's degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University.
