Joyce Sweeney

Joyce Sweeney is a seasoned literary professional currently serving as a Literary Agent at The Seymour Agency since April 2020, focusing on picture books and middle grade manuscripts characterized by strong voices and powerful emotions. In addition, Joyce Sweeney has been the Owner of Sweeney Writing Coach since January 2013, providing online writing classes, including the popular Fiction Writing Essentials. The writing coaching practice, established in October 1994, emphasizes creative writing, advanced workshops, manuscript editing, and mentoring. Joyce Sweeney also served as the Artistic Director at The Playgroup LLC from 2011 to 2014.
