Naomi Krieger Carmy

Naomi Krieger Carmy is an experienced professional with a diverse range of work experience. Naomi is currently serving as an Advisory Board Member for Climate First, a climate tech accelerator. Naomi'srole involves providing strategic support, sharing insights, and engaging with a cohort of companies focused on developing sustainable and scalable products.

Previously, Naomi was the Executive Director of NOVA Project and a Senior Policy Fellow at Start-Up Nation Policy Institute (SNPI). At NOVA Project, they held a leadership position and was responsible for overseeing the organization's operations. At SNPI, they contributed their expertise as a policy fellow, focusing on impact investment strategy and measurement.

Before that, Naomi was the SVP at Social Finance Israel, where they played a crucial role in developing the impact investment sector in Israel and creating unique investment models based on "Pay for Success". Naomi also served as a Board Member for MIDOT, a nonprofit organization.

Naomi's earlier experience includes working as a Policy Fellow at CSaP - Centre for Science and Policy, University of Cambridge, and serving as the VP Societal Challenges at Israel Innovation Authority. In this role, they set up and ran the Societal Challenges division, addressing social impact and talent shortage in the Israeli ecosystem.

Naomi has also made significant contributions in promoting business and tech collaboration between the UK and Israel. As the Founding Director of the UK Israel Tech Hub, they led a public-private venture based out of the British Embassy Tel Aviv. Naomi'swork involved identifying market synergies, creating business partnerships, and implementing open innovation models in key industries.

Furthermore, Naomi has experience in the nonprofit sector, having served as the Chief Executive Officer of STRIVE Israel, where they focused on helping unemployed Israelis achieve careers and financial independence.

Naomi began their career as a Project Manager at the New York City Economic Development Corporation.

Naomi Krieger Carmy has a Bachelor's degree in Economics and International Relations from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, which they obtained between 2000 and 2003. Naomi later attended Harvard Kennedy School from 2006 to 2008, where they earned a Master's degree in Public & Economic Policy. In 2013, Naomi began their fellowship at the University of Cambridge's Centre for Science and Policy, a program that lasted until 2022. Additionally, in 2020, Naomi obtained a certification from VC University Online. In 1999, Naomi also received a certificate in French Language and Culture from Université Paris-Sorbonne.
