The Shefa School
Alana Seidenberg is a dedicated educator with extensive experience in special education and youth mentorship. Currently serving as a Special Education Teacher at The Shefa School since September 2016, Alana has previously held roles such as Unit Head at JCC Manhattan's Camp Settoga and Head Counselor at JCC Manhattan's Day Camp at Pearl River. Additionally, Alana has worked as a Teaching Intern at Carpenter Elementary School and as an Assistant Teacher at Pattengill Elementary, where Spanish was taught to third graders. Early career experiences include being a General Counselor at Camp Lokanda and volunteering at SIBS Place, where tutoring was provided to children facing difficult circumstances. Alana Seidenberg holds a degree from the University of Michigan, obtained in 2016.
The Shefa School
The Shefa School is a Jewish community day school in Manhattan serving students in grades 1–8 who benefit from a specialized educational environment in order to develop their strengths while addressing their learning challenges. We specifically serve students with language-based learning disabilities who have not yet reached their potential levels of success in traditional classroom settings. Shefa is a pluralistic community school serving families across the range of Jewish involvement and observance.
