The Shefa School
Annie Cannon currently serves as Lead Teacher at The Shefa School since August 2021, following a role as Teacher Resident. Prior experience includes serving as Summer Director of Jewish Education and Experience and Division Head at Camp Ramah in the Berkshires from 2017 to August 2024, as well as participation in the Livnot Fellowship as a Counselor. Additional positions include College Network Coordinator at the National Ramah Commission from August 2018 to May 2021, Education Intern at Congregation Agudath Israel in mid-2020, and Research Assistant at Muhlenberg College in 2020. Annie Cannon holds a Master's degree in Childhood Special Education with a focus on Learning Disabilities and Behavioral Disorders from Hunter College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Jewish Studies along with a Pennsylvania State Education Certification in Elementary Education from Muhlenberg College, also graduating from Golda Och Academy in 2017.

The Shefa School
The Shefa School is a Jewish community day school in Manhattan serving students in grades 1–8 who benefit from a specialized educational environment in order to develop their strengths while addressing their learning challenges. We specifically serve students with language-based learning disabilities who have not yet reached their potential levels of success in traditional classroom settings. Shefa is a pluralistic community school serving families across the range of Jewish involvement and observance.
