The Shefa School
Joyce Levy is an experienced educator currently serving as a Lower School Teacher at The Shefa School since August 2022. Prior to this role, Joyce worked as a Teaching Assistant at JCP Downtown, and held positions as a Substitute Teacher at The Dwight School and Teacher Assistant at The Windward School. Joyce's earlier experience includes roles in retail and design, such as Sales Assistant at VIGOSS USA and Public Relations Intern at Barneys New York. Joyce holds a Master of Education degree in Education/Teaching of Individuals with Specific Learning Disabilities from Hunter College and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Design and Management from Parsons School of Design.
The Shefa School
The Shefa School is a Jewish community day school in Manhattan serving students in grades 1–8 who benefit from a specialized educational environment in order to develop their strengths while addressing their learning challenges. We specifically serve students with language-based learning disabilities who have not yet reached their potential levels of success in traditional classroom settings. Shefa is a pluralistic community school serving families across the range of Jewish involvement and observance.
