Ashley Jackson has a diverse work experience in the field of education. Ashley started their career in 2004 as an Education Professional in Toledo Public Schools, where they demonstrated their knowledge of child development, learning theory, and instructional planning. From 2008 to 2013, they worked as a Special Education Teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District, where they held conferences with cooperating teachers and parents to discuss individual education plans. During this time, they also worked as a South Pasadena staff member at YMCA, where they planned and facilitated the Summer Day Camp Program. In 2009, Ashley served as a Master Special Education Researcher at California State University, Northridge. From 2013 to 2019, they worked for Abu Dhabi Education Council, first as an Early Years General Education Teacher and later as an Early Childhood Education Specialist. Currently, they hold the position of EY/ Elem Head of Inclusion and Learning Assistant Coordinator at The Sheikh Zayed Private Academy for Boys.

Ashley Jackson is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction- Special Education at The University of Toledo, a program that started in 2017 and is expected to be completed by 2023. Prior to this, they obtained a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree from California State University, Northridge between 2009 and 2013. Ashley'sfield of study during this period was Education/Teaching of Individuals in Early Childhood Special Education Programs. Before that, from 1999 to 2004, Ashley earned another M.Ed. degree, also from The University of Toledo, focusing on Education/Teaching of Individuals in Early Childhood General Education Programs.
