Lance Porigow has a long history of experience in the marketing and advertising industry. Lance began their career in 1993 as an Account Supervisor at Ammirati Puris Lintas, where they applied packaged goods discipline to manage advertising development for Johnson & Johnson, MasterCard International, and Mentadent. In 1997, they moved to Kirshenbaum Bond + Partners as a Vice President and Group Account Director, where they were responsible for brand consulting engagements, team leadership, and budget oversight. In 2007, they joined SapientNitro as Global Head of Business Strategy and Executive Director of Business Growth, where they were a board member and helped position the company for acquisition. From 2011 to 2012, they were Head of Account Management and Business Strategy at MullenLowe Profero, where they oversaw accounts and consulted on digital and social media projects. In 2012, they co-founded TOMORRO//LLC, a marketing futures consultancy, which was later acquired by The Shipyard. Since 2017, Lance has been Chief Marketing Officer at The Shipyard, where they lead the eCommerce Growth Engineering Practice and authors thought leadership on behalf of the company. In 2020, they were promoted to EVP, Growth, and Head of eCommerce Practice.

Lance Porigow began their education in 1989 when they enrolled in the University of Michigan to pursue a BBA in Marketing and Psychology. Lance then attended the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business from 1991 to 1993, where they graduated with a BBA in Marketing and Management. In 2008, they attended the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute, where they completed the course Strategies of Desire; How Brands Grow in the field of Marketing Science.
