Cristina Escalante has a diverse work experience, beginning with a Research Assistant position at the Language Acquisition Lab at Johns Hopkins in 2006. In 2007, they were a Research Assistant at Stoddard's Lab at Florida International University. Cristina then interned at Florida International University in 2008 and Cleveland Metroparks Zoo's Research and Conservation/Veterinary Depts in 2009. In 2010, they were a Technical Writer at SafeMedia Corp. and a Copywriter at CRC Press, where they wrote and edited promotional material, back cover copy, and email marketing for science and engineering books. In 2013, they were a Software Tester at HapYak and a Software Engineering Intern at CareCloud. Since 2014, they have been the COO at SilverLogic LLC and a Contract Programmer Writer for Freelance, where they wrote, edited, and documented sample applications and other miscellaneous code for a variety of local and international enterprises.
Cristina Escalante earned a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics and a Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science from The Johns Hopkins University between 2005 and 2009. Cristina then went on to earn a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science from Florida Atlantic University between 2012 and 2015.
