Anna Katherine Townsend DNP, APRN, FNP-C, C-EFM

Anna Katherine Townsend DNP, APRN, FNP-C, C-EFM has a diverse work experience in the medical field. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as a Registered Nurse at Palmetto Health. In 2011, they shifted to Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center, where they worked as a Registered Nurse until 2012. The following year, they worked as a Registered Nurse at the University Health Network. From 2013 to 2017, Anna Katherine continued their nursing career at Palmetto Health. In 2016, they became a Clinical Instructor at the University of South Carolina-Columbia. In 2017, they worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Palmetto Health-USC Medical Group. In 2018, they joined Dillon County Free Medical Clinic as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Simultaneously, they started working at Francis Marion University, first as an Adjunct Faculty, then as an Instructor of Nursing, and eventually as an Assistant Professor. Anna Katherine held these positions until 2022. During their time at Francis Marion University, they also worked as a Nurse Practitioner, lead clinician at The Skin Clique from 2020 to 2021. In 2022, they became the Director Of Training at The Skin Clique and is currently serving in that role. Throughout their career, Anna Katherine has gained expertise and knowledge in various nursing and teaching positions.

Anna Katherine Townsend DNP, APRN, FNP-C, C-EFM has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Nursing from the University of South Carolina-Columbia, which they obtained from 2006 to 2010. Anna Katherine then pursued further education and earned a Master of Nursing degree in Family Nurse Practitioner from Frontier Nursing University between 2014 and 2016. Recently, they completed their Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Frontier Nursing University from 2018 to 2019. In terms of additional certifications, Anna Katherine Townsend is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners since January 2017. Anna Katherine also holds Certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) from NCC Education, and they obtained the FNP-C credential from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
