Howard Openshaw

Howard Openshaw has extensive work experience in the hospitality industry. Howard has served as the Director of Training/HR and Quality Assurance at The Slate (formerly Indigo Pearl) since 2014. Prior to that, they were the Group Director of Training and Quality Assurance at The Unique Collection of Hotels & Resorts from 2009 to 2014. Howard also held the position of Director of Human Resources at Hanoi Daewoo Hotel from 2007 to 2008. Before that, they worked as the Corporate Learning and Development Director at Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas from 2004 to 2007. Earlier in their career, they held the roles of Regional Training Manager Asia Pacific at Le Méridien Singapore, Area Training Director - Egypt at Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts, and Training and Development Manager and Regional Training Manager Asia Pacific at Le Meridien Nirwana Golf and Spa Resort. Howard began their career as a Training Manager at Le Meridien Baan Boran (Now Anantara Golden Triangle) in 1992.

Howard Openshaw attended Bedford College of Higher Education from 1981 to 1983, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on Business Administration and Management.
