Maryam Mohamedali

Maryam Mohamedali, MDes, is an experienced design professional currently serving as the Head of Design at The Smarty Train since December 2019, where career progression includes roles as Senior Design Manager, Design Manager, Design Executive, and Design Specialist. Prior experience includes strategic foresight consulting and workshop facilitation at OCAD U CO, UX research and design for a project management app at McMaster University, and mentoring in video game design for elementary students in partnership with Ubisoft at Fusion Jeunesse. Additionally, Maryam conducted research on feminist VR game-making practices at OCAD University and completed a design research internship at KerrSmith Design, contributing to a project for the Canada Council for the Arts. Educational qualifications include a Master of Design in Strategic Foresight and Innovation from OCAD University and a Bachelor of Arts in Ethics Society & Law and Philosophy from the University of Toronto.
