J.W. Wrote has a diverse range of work experience in the audio engineering field. J. W. began their career as a freelancer at Decibels Unlimited in 1999, where they focused on amplifying sound through various equipment. In 2002, they joined PRG as an Audio Engineer and remained with the company until 2010, handling mixing, designing, and system preparation. From 2003 to 2010, J.W. Wrote also worked at PRG Las Vegas as an All Around Audio Guy, overseeing various audio-related tasks. In 2010, they served as a Monitoring Engineer for Band of Beers (aka Black Label Society), and in 2012, they joined The Smith Center for the Performing Arts as an Associate Head of Audio, specializing in monitor mixing and stage operations. Currently, J.W. Wrote holds the position of Head Audio at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts. Throughout their career, J.W. Wrote has gained valuable experience in different roles within the audio engineering field.
J. W. Wrote attended The Art Institutes from 1991 to 1993, where they obtained an Associate's degree in Specialized Business with a focus on Live Audio. Following that, from 1992 to 2015, they gained 27 years of on-the-job training (OJT) in making things louder and better. During this period, they earned an Engineer's Degree, specializing in reading peoples' minds and addressing questions such as "Why isn't it in my mix?" with the response "You didn't ask for it!"
