Scott Rezendes

Scott Rezendes has a diverse work experience in the field of sports management and soccer. Scott is currently working as an Adjunct Professor of Global Soccer Management at The George Washington University School of Business since 2022. Previously, they served as the CEO of The Soccer Syndicate starting from 2018.

Scott has also worked as a Management Consultant at Expansion Pro Soccer Clubs since 2018, where they advised various soccer clubs and an international investment group on transitioning or launching as professional soccer franchises. Scott also drafted MLS/USL affiliation agreements and developed budgeting strategies to achieve sustainability and elite player development.

Before that, Scott worked as a Sports Capology Instructor and Scouting Course Lecturer at Sports Management Worldwide from 2011 to 2021. Scott has also served as a Technical Director at Energy FC from 2016 to 2017 and as a Domestic Scout at Sporting Kansas City from 2013 to 2016.

Scott's experience in soccer management includes serving as the General Manager of Wilmington Hammerheads FC Professional Soccer in 2011 and as a Staff Representative at the Major League Soccer Players Union from 2006 to 2009.

Prior to their involvement in the sports industry, Scott worked as a Business Development Manager and Financial Analyst at Travel Connection LLC from 2009 to 2011. Scott also gained experience as a Legal Assistant and Law Librarian at Fleischman & Walsh LLP from 2000 to 2005.

Scott Rezendes holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law & Society & CLEG from American University, which they earned from 1996 to 2000. Scott further pursued their academic journey at The George Washington University School of Business, where they completed their Master's of Business Administration with a specialization in Sports Management, from 2005 to 2008.
