Peter Hoare

Peter Hoare is an experienced professional in defense and consultancy, currently serving as a Mentor at The Social Mobility Foundation and a Principal Consultant at PA Consulting since November 2021. Previously, Peter held roles including Programme Director Defence Commitments at the UK Ministry of Defence, where responsibilities included managing readiness across Defense capabilities, and Deputy Director Of Operations at the Permanent Joint Headquarters. Additional experience includes providing operational advice to the Head of the Royal Navy and serving as Operations Directorate Operational Capability Advisor at the UK Ministry of Defence. Peter has extensive experience in fleet scheduling with the Royal Navy from 1990 to 2014, where roles included Commanding Officer of the 702 Naval Air Squadron. Peter holds a Master of Arts in Defence and Strategic Studies from King's College London and has completed the Senior Leaders Programme at The Windsor Leadership Trust.
