Juan Pablo Villasmil has had a diverse range of work experiences in the field of policy and politics. Juan Pablo has worked as a Fellow at the Hertog Foundation, a Research Fellow at the Center for a Secure Free Society, and as part of the Winter Seminar at the American Enterprise Institute. Juan Pablo has also held roles at Young Voices as a Commentator Track and Contributor, contributed to America TeVe Miami as a Contributor, and worked as an ISI Editorial Fellow at The Spectator. Additionally, they have been a Contributor to The National Interest and has founded and served as the President of the D.C. Chesterton Society. In terms of media contributions, their work has been featured on various platforms including Nightly News with Lester Holt, Telemundo's 2020 election panel, and Fox News. Juan Pablo has also worked as a Student Advisor and Associate at the AU Sine Institute of Policy & Politics.

Juan Pablo Villasmil studied International Studies with a focus on Foreign Policy and National Security at American University from 2020 to 2023. Juan Pablo also obtained two additional certifications: a Collaborative Leadership Certificate from AU Sine Institute of Policy & Politics and a certification from Deloitte's Future of Work Institute in 2022.
