Debra Markin Johnson has extensive experience in nursing, beginning with a role as an LPN office nurse at Group Health from August 1997 to July 2002. Debra then joined St. Joseph Physician Network as an LPN phone triage nurse from September 2002 to May 2004, where a new position was created for triaging five Family Practice Physicians and covering other roles as needed. In May 2004, Debra transitioned to The South Bend Clinic, initially working as a back office phone triage nurse for Dr. Nels Leininger and Dr. Barbara Niklinska, eventually focusing solely on Dr. Niklinska. In October 2014, Debra advanced to the position of Population Health Associate. Debra earned a Technical Certificate in Practical Nursing from Ivy Tech Community College from 1973 to 1974.

About Us Founded in 1916, we are a physician-owned & led multi-specialty group based in South Bend, Indiana. The South Bend Clinic encompasses 5 campus locations throughout North Central Indiana with our main campus and ambulatory surgery center located in downtown South Bend. The Clinic employs over 630 staff , including 125+ providers in 21 different medical and surgical specialties. 2016 was a special year as we celebrated our 100th year anniversary and continue to grow! Our success stems from our rich history! Today, we are the largest multi-specialty clinic in Indiana!
