Chris McWhorter has a diverse work experience in the medical field, starting as a Resident at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System in 2001 and progressing to roles such as Chief Resident in Family Medicine. Chris worked as a Physician at various healthcare organizations, including Family Practice Associates, PA, Mary Black Health System, Carolina Healthcare Associates, and The Southeast Permanente Medical Group, where they held leadership roles like Lead Physician and Adult Medicine Physician Lead for Quality. Chris also served as a UBT Co-Lead at Kaiser Permanente from 2012 to 2016.
Chris McWhorter earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, cum laude, from The University of Georgia in 1997. Chris then went on to obtain their Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree from St. George's University in 2001. In 2006, Chris obtained a certification in Family Medicine from The American Board of Family Medicine, Inc.
