Patrick Austin began their work experience as a Vascular Surgeon at Orlando Health in 2009, where they also served as the Medical Director of the Non-Invasive Vascular Laboratory and as Adjunctive Faculty at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. In 2011, they moved on to Valley Vascular Associates as a Vascular Surgeon until 2014. From 2014 onwards, they held various leadership positions at The Southeast Permanente Medical Group, including Regional Chief of Vascular/Plastics/Breast Surgery/Wound Care Departments and Physician Director of Surgical and Procedural Specialties.
Patrick Austin completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1998. Patrick then attended the UAB Marnix E. Heersink School of Medicine where they earned their Doctor of Medicine degree in 2002. Subsequently, Patrick pursued a General Surgery Residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 2002 to 2007. Patrick then specialized in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, completing a Vascular Surgery Fellowship at the University of South Florida from 2007 to 2009. Patrick obtained certifications in Surgery, Vascular Surgery, and Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) in subsequent years.
