Bernardo Bustamante has over 20 years of experience in various roles related to mechanics and operations. Currently serving as an A&P Mechanic at The Spaceship Company since October 2013, Bernardo previously held positions as a Refiner Operator at Sierra Pine, a Slot Club Representative at Thunder Valley Casino, and a Supervisor at MARMAXX. Notably, Bernardo spent two decades with the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of Chief Inspector and Crew Chief. Educationally, Bernardo holds a degree in Occupational Education with a focus on Operations Management and Supervision from Wayland Baptist University and an Associate of Science in Airframe Mechanics and Aircraft Maintenance Technology from the Community College of the Air Force.

The Spaceship Company (TSC) is Virgin Galactic’s aerospace-system manufacturing organization. Headquartered in Mojave Air and Space Port in Mojave, California, it is building and testing a fleet of WhiteKnightTwo carrier aircraft and SpaceShipTwo reusable spaceships that, together, form Virgin Galactic’s human spaceflight system.
