Rina Zampelli-Whelan

Rina Zampelli-Whelan is a seasoned quality assurance professional with extensive experience in managing quality management systems. Currently serving as a Senior Quality Assurance Manager at Virgin Galactic and The Spaceship Company since June 2011, Rina has played a pivotal role in developing and implementing processes to achieve AS9100D certification, alongside conducting gap analyses to identify system weaknesses. Previously, Rina worked as a Quality Engineer at BAE Systems, where responsibilities included serving as the Integrated Product Team representative and managing nonconforming products. Rina began the career as a Payroll/Timekeeping Supervisor at AVTEL Services. Rina holds a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Phoenix, completed between 2005 and 2013.
