Duncan Greive

Duncan Greive is a New Zealand-based writer and broadcaster. Duncan is the publisher of The Spinoff, a website covering culture, politics and economics from a progressive perspective, and a columnist for Newsroom. Duncan has also worked as a digital creative strategist and social communities & content manager at the Bank of New Zealand.

Greive's writing focuses on culture, politics and economics from a progressive perspective. Duncan has won the Voyager Media Award for best general columnist in 2021.

Duncan Greive graduated from The University of Waikato with a Bachelor of Arts in Screen and Media and Political Science. Duncan then went on to study Psychology at Massey University and achieved a Graduate Diploma.
