Randy Newton serves as the City Traffic Engineer and Assistant City Engineer for the Traffic Engineering Division of Public Works in the City of Saint Paul since June 2018, overseeing various functions including traffic signal design, street lighting, and traffic regulation. Prior experience includes serving as the Assistant City Engineer and Traffic Engineer for the City of Eden Prairie from March 2000 to May 2018, where responsibilities involved supporting the City Engineer and leading the Engineering Division in the engineer's absence. Additionally, Randy held the role of Southwest LRT Traffic Lead at Metro Transit from February 2013 to February 2015, managing traffic elements for the Southwest LRT project, and began career as a Transportation/Design Engineer with URS Corporation from December 1994 to March 2000.
