Managing Director Of Family & Community Engagement at The Stamford Charter School for Excellence

Kristine Rivera, MPA has held various roles throughout their career. Kristine started in 1996 as a Humanities Teacher at the East Harlem School at Exodus House. From 1999 to 2004, they served as the Senior Associate Director, High Expectations at the Harlem Educational Activities Fund. Kristine then worked at the National Urban Fellows from 2004 to 2006, where they held the roles of Special Assistant To the Executive Director & Interim Acting Executive Director. From 2006 to 2010, they were the Director of Comp2Kids at Per Scholas, Inc. Kristine later became the Executive Director at Cents Ability, Inc. in 2010. In 2011, they joined Bronx Charter School for Excellence as the Director of High School Placement & Alumni Services, and in 2016, they became the Director of Family & Community Engagement at Excellence Community Schools.

Kristine Rivera, MPA, has an extensive education history. In 1992, they started their academic journey at Colgate University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy & Latin American Studies. Kristine completed their undergraduate studies in 1996.

Years later, in 2004, Kristine attended Baruch College, where they obtained a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree with a focus on Public Administration and Nonprofit Management.

Currently, from 2019 to 2022, Kristine is enrolled at American University, working towards a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Education Policy and Leadership.
