Aaron Delgaty, PhD, is a cultural anthropologist with substantial experience in academia and applied research. Currently serving as the Anthropologist of Work at TSC since February 2022, Aaron has previously held several positions at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from August 2013 to December 2022, including Teaching Assistant Professor and Practice Leader of Experience Research. Aaron has created learning environments focused on ethnographic research methods, economic anthropology, and disaster studies, while also facilitating applied ethnographic projects and mentoring students. Notable research contributions include qualitative studies on the North Carolina craft brewery community, resilience practices among artisans, and interventions addressing rural wellness in Japan. Aaron holds a PhD in Cultural Anthropology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, in addition to an M.A. in East Asian Studies from The University of Texas at Austin and a B.A. in East Asian Studies from Calvin University.
