Beth Pike possesses extensive experience in communications and media production, currently serving as the Assistant Director of Communications and Education Outreach at The State Historical Society of Missouri since May 2019. With a prolific freelance career beginning in July 1992, Beth has garnered multiple EMMY awards as a writer, producer, and co-director of feature documentaries, while also contributing as a field producer for major news networks, including NBC, CBS, and CNN. As an adjunct faculty member at the Missouri School of Journalism from September 2012 to October 2018, Beth guided journalism students in international conference coverage. Previous roles include producing environmental education content for the Education Satellite Network and reporting for KMIZ-TV. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Journalism in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Missouri and an Associate’s Degree from East Central College.

The State Historical Society of Missouri is the premier research center for the study of Missouri state and local history. Research centers in Cape Girardeau, Columbia, Kansas City, Rolla, Saint Louis, and Springfield provide access to an ever-growing number of reference materials and historical collections.
