Rane Claypool

Rane Claypool is an experienced sports reporter and enterprise reporter at The State News, where responsibilities have included roles as copyeditor and sports reporter since September 2019. Prior experience includes an internship with Andy Schor for Mayor from February 2021 to November 2021 and a refugee services internship at St. Vincent Catholic Charities from December 2020 to August 2021. Earlier career experience also includes a position as shift leader at Tropical Smoothie Cafe from May 2017 to February 2020. Rane Claypool holds a Bachelor's degree in History and Political Science-PreLaw from Michigan State University, completed in 2022, and a High School Diploma from Chippewa Valley High School, earned in 2019.
