The States Project
Emily Waggoner is a seasoned political professional with a diverse background in campaign management and legislative operations. Currently serving as the Regional Political Director for The States Project since June 2021, Waggoner also holds the position of House Caucus Director for the Iowa House Democrats since March 2019. Previous experience includes roles as Executive Director of the Missouri Democratic Party and Campaign Manager for Stephen Webber's State Senate campaign. Waggoner began their career with internships in the Missouri State Senate and the Office of State Representative Kimberly Gardner, engaging in legislative research and constituent relations. Waggoner obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia, graduating in 2016.
